Virginie Askildson has an M.A. in French applied Linguistics from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Arizona with specializations in Foreign Language Pedagogy & Program Administration. Her research also includes language teaching materials design and Computer Assisted Language Learning. She has taught and supervised French language programs as well as a number of teacher training courses at the University of Notre-Dame and the University of Arizona. Before her current appointment, Dr. Virginie Askildson served as the Foreign Language Pedagogy Specialist for the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Notre-Dame, where she worked for six years with all 5 language departments, including 14 language programs.
