A native of Wiesbaden, Germany, Stefanie Würtz-Hurley received her M.A. in German with minors in German as a Foreign Language and Psychology in 2007 from the University of Trier, Germany where her course work focused on German linguistics. After finishing her M.A. she taught at the University of Mainz and several language institutes in Germany. In 2008, she moved to the US where she has taught at the University of Pittsburgh and Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She relocated to Atlanta in 2010 and has taught at several Atlanta universities including Emory University and Morehouse College. She joined Kennesaw State University as a Lecturer of German in 2013. She enjoys teaching introductory and intermediate level courses and helping students of all levels acquire German language and culture skills. She is also currently the advisor of the German Club and is looking forward to meeting students at German related events throughout the semester.
