Ruth Padan was born in Israel. After completing her army service she received her B.A. from Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Beer-Sheva, Israel in Hebrew Language, Linguistics and Bible Studies. In Israel she prepared high school students for their Hebrew Grammar matriculation exams. For many years she worked in private high schools in Atlanta as a Hebrew teacher and served as the Hebrew Department head. She completed her Masters in Jewish studies at Siegal College, Cleveland, Ohio. At Kennesaw State University she teaches Hebrew and Biblical Hebrew. In Atlanta she organized the Israeli choir; she is active in Israeli folk dancing, she likes to read. She has a Superior OPI certificate in Modern Hebrew from ACTFL. She is a member of NAPH (National Association Professors of Hebrew) and participates in their yearly conference.
