Patricia was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Received her B.A. from the Polytechnic Superior School in Ecuador. She came to the U.S. in 1985, earned an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University and worked in the corporate world for several years. In 1997 she joined KSU as adjunct faculty of Spanish language and culture. In 2008 she earned an additional master degree, Master in Spanish language and culture, from the University of Salamanca. Patricia currently teaches at KSU beginning, intermediate and advance Spanish language and culture classes along with Business Spanish offered by the DFL. Her areas of interest include language acquisition, and cross linguistic influence in language learning. She loves the beach, and enjoys biking with her family.
