Profile: Dr. Olaf Berwald joined KSU as Department Chair of Foreign Languages and Professor of German in 2013. His peer-reviewed research publications include five books (A Companion to the Works of Max Frisch; Globalization and its Apparitions: Intercultural Engagements and Disengagements Seen from the South and the North; Der untote Gott: Religion und Ästhetik in der deutschen und österreichischen Literatur des 20. Jahrhunderts; An Introduction to the Works of Peter Weiss; Philipp Melanchthons Sicht der Rhetorik), and numerous articles. He has presented his research at many national and international conferences. Olaf enjoys teaching at all levels. A native of Northern Germany, he feels at home in Owl Country!
