Allison Webb is excited to begin her second year as a Lecturer of Foreign Language Education and Spanish. She was a Foundation Fellow at the University of Georgia, where she received her B.A. in Spanish and French. She received her M.A. in Spanish from the Georgia State University, where she studied Contemporary Spanish Literature and Culture and Applied Linguistics. She has 16 years of experience teaching Spanish and French in the secondary school setting. She taught Advanced Placement Spanish Language and Culture for 12 of those years and has seen many of those students go on to major in Spanish and become Spanish teachers as well. She enjoys studying second language pedagogy and finding new and creative ways to integrate authentic texts and tasks in the foreign language classroom. She closely follows P12 educational trends and issues and enjoys sharing her passion for teaching with students considering a career in education.
