Dr. Thierry Léger named Executive Director of the International Council on Francophone Studies (CIEF)
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is pleased to announce that Thierry Léger, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs and Professor of French, has been selected as Executive Director of the Conseil International d’Études Francophones (CIEF) (International Council on Francophone Studies) (
http://cief.org ) for a three year term, starting in June 2012. The CIEF "encourages interdisciplinary studies, research, and publications concerning all countries and regions of French expression," publishes the Journal Nouvelles Études Francophones ( NEF ), and organizes a major annual international conference.
