Dr. June K. Laval joined the KSU faculty in the fall of 1989. She is a Professor of Spanish and French in the Department of Foreign Languages. Dr. Laval specializes in 18th and 19th peninsular literature. Her research interests include the history of French antique textiles, in particular those textiles used in the Atlantic Triangular trade. She received her Master of Arts in Spanish from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, her Master of Arts in French from Middlebury College and her Doctorate from Emory University. Before coming to KSU, Dr. Laval taught for fifteen years at Mercer University in Atlanta.
